wondering again

What happens when you’re searching for something and so you travel in the hopes of finding it, yet it still eludes you? The story always goes that you find it somewhere along the way and return home content with the discovery. What happens when you never find it, though? Do you keep traveling? Do you give up, admitting it didn’t work or that it’s unfindable? When do you have to learn to just be okay with just being okay?
Or, can you go too far? Maybe you’re already where you want to be — geographically, mentally — but don’t realize it (appreciate it enough?), thinking you can go further and learn more. But in reality, you overshoot the mark where you know, where you’re content, and fall out of that tiny, comfortable spot. And start wondering again. Wandering again. Whatever.
