interrupted service
so I’m in the process of moving to another continent via a few different cities. I will try to keep the site updated but it might get a little patchy for the next week or two. Regular service should resume as soon as I get settled in. That redesign I’ve been promising for months might finally happen too.
I feel particularly bad about this considering I just picked up a bunch of new readers — sorry for the poor first impression.
Thanks for reading.
blueprint 3 outtakes/ alex goose
by Alex Goose. Download all the tracks here.
In the spring of 2009, an A&R affiliated with the Roc got in contact with me. Shortly after, I had the opportunity to submit various tracks for Jay-Z’s long awaited “Blueprint 3″ album. Unfortunately, none of them made the final cut. After letting people hear what I sent Hova (including people who know him), they all suggested I release them for the public to hear. This is what the Blueprint 3 could have been…
I really admire Jay-Z’s writing/rapping but on the whole his music has never quite done it for me. I like a lot of Blueprint 3 but all the songs still leave a little to be desired. Some of my favorite Jay-Z is the Gray Album so I can’t help but wonder how I’d feel about Blueprint 3 with production from Alex Goose.

…you’ll never get the second one to look the same.”
toured a great little letterpress shop here in town tonight by the name of In To Ink. With so much work for the web right now it makes me miss working with interesting materials and processes and having a tangible product at the end. Using a computer is never the same feeling as making things with your hands.
Like the article I read about an intern at Pentagram not knowing how to properly cut paper with an x-acto.
