Have you ever been in the shower in the morning thinking of all the things you want to do during the day and you get so eager to start that you wish you could skip drying off and dressing and just reappear clothed and already at work? (Or is it just me that gets that?) Picking something to wear is one extra creative decision too many, and that’s why we own solid color Ts. And of course you can never go wrong with black, white, and the shades between. Timeless, dresses up/down, no graphics because you believe in less, reasonable price because you know better.
The only three Ts you ever need.

Today I’m proud to announce a project I’ve had in my head for a while: The New Minimum.
I was originally going to redesign NEW/ STUFF, but realized that for what I wanted this site to accomplish a fresh start was going to be necessary. I thought there was a better way to deliver this content than the traditional blog, and after much deliberation and spent notebook pages, I settled on a design that I think makes for a more interesting experience. The idea is that with each new issue, the site will take on a new look and have a new featured story on something I hope you find interesting. Additionally, I’m opening The New Minimum to contributors.
The content here will change a little. Personal posts, new work, photographs, etc. will remain on NEW/ STUFF — I invite you to keep reading. All the other content can now be found on The New Minimum. Incidentally, if you enjoyed what you found here, you may want to add The New Minimum’s feed to your RSS reader of choice.
I have a lot I want to do with The New Minimum so features will be added as time goes on. With a fairly major move starting next week, I wanted to get it out the door before life gets too hectic. I think this is a good place to start, so without further ado, I give you The New Minimum:

The features that are there, you’ll find by poking around the site. I will also be publishing a public roadmap of things that have been added, fixed, or planned. For now:
The all-caps condensed typeface is League Gothic from The League of Moveable Type. I’m happy to be supporting their open-source web-fonts program.
The nice page-anchors are powered by jQuery and come courtesy of Position Absolute.
I know that collapsing the Table of Contents should move the content over. I’m working on it, but since it was added mid-project it will take some tinkering.
The whole thing is running on WordPress, but it’s customized to the point of giving me a headache.
