Website for a boutique line of men’s headwear. The client asked for something that: (1) fit with their existing creative direction; (2) they wanted the front page to stay current; (3) to have the ability to control and update the site’s content at will; (4) and finally, the client wanted an online store that they could manage themselves.

With this brief, I designed the site on a grid that was flexible for different types of content, from embedded audio to a product catalog, made the front page a sort of blog for current content, and included prominent ‘featured’ positions in the sidebar and header that the client could use for events, promotions, product releases, etc. Then I made a custom online store that the client could update. There is even the option to send out discount codes to the client’s email list that will take them to a customized version of the store with discounted pricing.

Between 1964 and 1975 the US military dropped 2,756,941 bombs across Cambodia. This figure was not acknowledged until 2000 when Bill Clinton traveled to Vietnam and quietly released previously classified Air Force data on American bombings of former Indochina during the Vietnam War. Thirty-five years later, international acknowledgment of these incursions remains limited. With the timeline and extent of bombings over Cambodia now available, we may begin to grasp the impact of this military action.

Goals were to maximize image sizes, keep navigation between images and projects easy, and minimize the interface. Client also wanted to keep organizational structure of categories, and incorporate a news page for keeping the site current.
